The Salvation Army needs the community’s help to bring the joy of the Christmas season to families in Yadkin County. The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Assistance program is underway, allowing families in need to receive toys and stockings for their children as well as a box of food for Christmas Day. The Salvation Army has committed to helping 760 children from 344 families living in Yadkin County this holiday season.

“We would not be able to help these families in need if it were not for the generosity of the people who live in Yadkin County,” said Major Kent Davis, area commander for The Salvation Army. “It’s the people who donate toys, fulfill an angel, stuff a stocking, or volunteer their time that make it happen.”
