To submit the a recipe, visit the Tribune’s website at www.elkintribune.com, and scroll down to the Contest Page, and click on Meals and Memories’ Holiday Recipe Contest.
The recipe competition is the first part of The Ripple’s first-ever Meals and Memories contest. The second part of the contest will start on Monday, Dec. 19, when entries will be accepted for the best year-in-review photos taken throughout 2011.
The contest sponsors are Yadkin Valley Telecom, Soyworx and New Image Weight Loss.
Prizes will be awarded to the overall winners and both the main course and dessert entries – the ones that have been sponsored.
The winners of all of the entries will be recognized, but only the overall winner and the main course and desert entry winners will receive prizes.

Anyone entering a submission will need a user ID and password, which is free.
The submission period has already begun, but will last until Saturday, Dec. 17.
The voting period will begin Sunday, Dec. 18 and last until Saturday, Dec. 31.
The year-in-review contest will start Dec. 19, and the voting period for the best photos will start Jan. 8.
