Two people were arrested on Jan. 11 in Boonville and charged with running a meth lab from their home, according to Boonville Chief of Police Greg Gibson.
Gibson said Boonville police followed a tip and found a meth lab as reported.
Alisha Danielle Mabe and Brian Keith Richardson, both of 127 Williams St., Boonville, were charged with running a meth lab and three counts of misdemeanor child abuse, according to Boonville Police.
Small children were found in the house and are being further investigated by the Department of Social Services, Gibson said.
Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and State Bureau of Investigation also responded to the call, according to police.
All of the necessary chemicals and materials were found to verify an active lab was going on in the home. The house has been condemned until the health department gives it a clean bill of health.
Mabe and Richardson were taken to Yadkin County Magistrate office for processing.
