Lorie Rose, LPN, was selected as the Yadkin County Health Department (YCHD) 2011 Employee of the Year.
Rose’s co-workers describe her as positive and one who always goes above and beyond to do her job well.
She has been a nurse at the YCHD for almost six years. One of the things she loves most about the Health Department is the opportunity to provide a variety of services to the community.
“I feel blessed that I work with a group of talented and caring nurses, lab staff, social workers, WIC and clerical staff, interpreters and public health professionals who are great at what they do,” she said.
In her spare time, Rose loves spending time with her family, attending Duke Blue Devils sporting events and church activities and relaxing at the beach, and she has a new found love of history thanks to her brother, Thomas.
Lorie says she feels blessed by God to have great family and friends.
Lorie’s favorite quote is: “Treat others the way you want to be treated and love others as yourself”.
