Pauline Wagoner Jarvis
Mrs. Pauline Wagoner Jarvis, 88, of Swan Creek Road, Jonesville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center from complications associated with pneumonia.
Mrs. Jarvis was born April 16, 1920 in Yadkin County to the late Daniel and Eliza Shore Wagoner.
She was retired from Chatham Manufacturing with many years of service.
She was an active member of Swan Creek Baptist Church, and the Fellowship Club, made up of retirees from Chatham Manufacturing.
Mrs. Jarvis loved her flowers, and enjoyed baking cakes for the sick or shut-ins in her church and neighborhood.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Myrtle Chambers, Minnie Cheek, Sally Harris, and Grace Sparks; brothers, Fin Wagoner, Dock Wagoner, and Noah Wagoner.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Earl Jarvis of Swan Creek; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ron Card of Charlotte Court House, Va.; and a great multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at Swan Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Evan Bass and the Rev. Frank Casstevens.
She lay in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19 at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville.
