•4 p.m.-6 p.m.-Yadkin Farmers Market, Opening May 8 on every Tuesday Evenings and Saturday morning from 8-12 in Yadkinville! Off US 601 North Take a right on Tennessee Rd. beside the Yadkinville Community Park. The Yadkin Farmers Market will be on the left behind the park. Selling fresh in season produce, plants, honey, baked goods, homemade crafts, eggs, goat dairy products, molasses, herbs, flowers, etc.

• 10:30 a.m.—Preschool storytime for ages 2-5 will be held at the Boonville Community Public Library every Thursday. This will consist of stories, songs, and crafts. For more information, call 367-7737.

(For families whose income is less than $50,000). What to bring: For married filing joint, both spouses must be present. All forms W-2 and 1099’s. Information for other income. Information for all deductions/credits. A copy of last year’s tax return. Proof of account for direct deposit of refund (voided check). Social Security cards or individual taxpayer identification notices/cards for you, your spouse, and or dependents. Proof of identification for yourself and your spouse. •7 a.m.-2 p.m.-Community yard sale at the Masonic parking lot in Yadkinville. Proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) in honor of Dakota Davis who needs a life-saving heart transplant. •8 a.m.-1 p.m.- The Friends of the Jonesville Public Library are sponsoring a Junk in the Trunk Community Yard Sale. This is a opportunity to get rid of items that you may no longer need or want and we are also inviting any person with a business to set up in a space for a donation of $10.00 for each space in the parking lot of the Jonesville Public Library. Any money you make at your space is yours to keep. You can use your vehicle and or/bring a table to set up on! Registration forms and information packets are available at the Jonesville Public Library or you can email bgilpin@nwrl.org to be emailed a packet. The rain date will be April 21. The Library is accepting donations of items to be sold on our sell tables. All of the proceeds will also go to the Library Building Fund. All donations are tax-deductible.

•9 a.m.-3 p.m.-CALVARY MORAVIAN FRIENDS (CMF) of Calvary Moravian Church, located at 600 Holly Avenue, downtown Winston-Salem, NC invites you to join us for a visit to Mount Airy Museum of Regional History. After visiting the Museum, we plan a short trip to visit our sister Church of Grace Moravian, hosted by the Reverend Tony Hayworth. Both of these locations are in Mount Airy, NC. Please note there is a fee of $2.00 per person, if we have a group of 10 or more. If the group is less than 10, there is a fee of $3.00 per person. •6 p.m.-Yadkin County Chamber Hosts Candidates Forum. The Chamber will sponsor a Forum for candidates for Board of Education. House of Representatives and Senate candidates will be invited to address the audience in attendance as well. The Forum will be held at the Yadkin County Courthouse, with House of Representatives & Senate candidates and 6:30 p.m. with Board of Education candidates. Audience members will be asked to submit additional questions for the candidates during the event. Those questions that are deemed relevant will be asked by the moderatRor. The Chamber sponsors the Forum to give the voters an opportunity to learn about the candidates and their feelings on various issues facing education in Yadkin County. •8 a.m.- Relay for Life , Benefit Ride . Registration 8:00a.m. till 9:45a.m. Ride leaves out at 10:00am , Donation of $20.00 per vehicle , $5.00 per passenger . There will be a meal served and gospel singing after the ride. Anyone who does not wish to participate in the ride may purchase a ticket for the meal. •3 p.m.-6 p.m.-Landon Parker, 17-year old Yadkinville, NC native and rising country star, will perform in a Breast Cancer Awareness concert! Landon will bring friends and sing for the first time in his hometown! Concert is rain or shine! Bring lawn chairs or blankets! This is a family event. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted. All vouchers are $10. Proceeds directly benefit Wendy Miller, a Boonville, NC native currently battling breast cancer.
