Simply…. THANK YOU! Since being diagnosed with HER2 breast cancer seven months ago, I have met more caring and compassionate people than I ever realized existed in our small rural county.

I have been presented with heartfelt cards, gifts of encouragement, donations, food for my family and endless prayers. It is overwhelming to know there are faces I’ve never met who have done so much to help lessen the burden of this challenge for my family. My husband Will, and sons Wesley and Brady, have been steadfast in their love but the dedication of so many others is something I cannot put to words and I am forever grateful.

Last weekend, 17-year old Landon Parker performed in a benefit concert to help raise breast cancer awareness. He did so without hesitation and simply proved there are young adults who do, in fact, have a passion for helping others. Landon, thank you, for everything you have done.We wish you continued success as you pursue your music career!

To all whom I cannot name individually, please know your thoughts and prayers provide me daily strength in this fight against the demon that has invaded my body. While I do have several months of chemotherapy ahead of me still, I can see life slowly returning to a new “normal.” I will never forget all that you have done for my family and I. I am, simply, humbled.

Most sincerely,

Wendy (Parks) Miller of Boonville
