•7 a.m.-Friedberg Moravian Church at 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem will host the 6th Annual Saddles and Spokes 50K and 100K bike ride. Registration begins at 7am on the day of the ride or riders can pre-register at www.active.com. Registration is $30.00 per cyclist before 6/9/12 and includes a free tee shirt. After 6/9/12 registration is $35.00 and tee shirts can be purchased at the ride for $11.00 each. Tee shirt quantites are limited. Each route is clearly marked and has stocked rest stops. SAG support is provided. ALL proceeds of the bike ride will benefit HOOF and PAW THERAPEUTIC Riding and Activity Center which helps individuals with disabilities, disadvantages and special needs through horseback riding and related activities.

•3 p.m.-6 p.m.-BBQ Supper Benefit for Christian Hurt at Flat Rock Baptist Church. The Couple’s Sunday school class is doing a fundraiser. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased from Flat Rock members. You can see Kyle Martin or Richard Myers for more information.

•6 p.m.- We extend a heartfelt invitation to our surrounding community to join us for a special summer concert with Southern Gospel Artist – Kirk Talley on Sunday evening. He has been synonymous with Southern Gospel Music for over 25 years and has been a member of such talented groups as The Hoppers, The Cathedrals, The Talley Trio and The Trio. He has written such songs as “Step into the Water” while with the Cathedrals, “He is Here” while with the Talleys and when he embarked on a solo career – he wrote “Serenaded by Angels” and “If He Hung the Moon”. Kirk possesses a genuine love for Gospel music and strives to present the Gospel in a unique & personal manner…this is what captivates audiences around the world. A LOVE OFFERING will be received to be given to assist Kirk in fulfilling his ministry of lifting up his voice in praise to our Lord. There will be a nursery for Infants & Toddlers provided! •6 p.m.-8:30 p.m.-Baltimore United Methodist Church invites all children to get ready to dive into fun at OPERATION OVERBOARD: DARE TO GO DEEP WITH GOD Vacation Bible School. Explore and experience God’s underwater universe at VBS! The fun begins at Baltimore United Methodist Church, 2419 Baltimore Road, East Bend, NC 27018. The adventures includes regular Deep Sea Voyages into Bible fun and creative crafts, hands-on mission work, water science, and great music.
