Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on June 15 charged Brittney N. Turner, 27, of Yadkinville with larceny of a check and obtaining property by false pretense, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
The suspect feloniously stole a blank check and cashed it at a gas station in Yadkinville, according to the release.
According to the release, Turner was already under investigation for similar crimes in Yadkin County.
On June 18 the investigation was completed, which resulted in 15 felony charges of obtaining property by false pretense and one felony charge of financial card theft. Turner is being held in Yadkin County Jail under a $20,000 secure bond and a $1,060 cash bond.
