Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies on July 26 arrested Diego Armando Arroyo-Solis, 21, of Yadkinville, and Faith Smith Arroyo, 28, of Jonesville, on warrants taken out by detectives.

Diego Armando Arroyo-Solis was charged with one count of felony cruelty to animals and one count of felony killing an animal by starvation. He was under a $5,000 dollar secure bond.

Faith Smith Arroyo was charged with one count felony kill animals by starvation and one count misdemeanor cruelty to animals. Arroyo was under a $2,000 dollar secure bond.

Detectives received an anonymous call of an animal compliant in Jonesville and discovered a horse that was extremely malnourished and in bad health belonging to Arroyo-Solis. Per the recommendation of the local vveterinarian, the horse had to be euthanized.
