EAST BEND - The unbeaten Falcons (5-0-1) have entered the top 10 of Eurosport’s 2A State Rankings this week.
After topping Yadkin County rival Starmount last Monday to kick off the Mountain Valley Conference season, Forbush followed up with a dominating 6-0 victory over West Wilkes last Thursday.
The 2-0 start in conference play pushed the Falcons into the No. 10 spot in the rankings with five wins and one draw on the year.
Tenth-ranked Forbush returns to action this week with back-to-back road games - at North Wilkes Tuesday night before traveling to No. 9 Central Davidson in a ranked non-conference showdown Wednesday.
