HAYS - A 35-yard field goal by Alex Torres was the lone bright spot Friday night as Forbush dropped a 35-3 decision to North Wilkes.

In their only trip into the redzone early in the second quarter, the Falcon drive stalled at the 18-yard line, leading to Torres’ kick. Forbush struggled to move the ball the rest of the way against a tough Vikings’ defense.

The Falcons remain winless on the year, falling to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the Mountain Valley Conference with the loss.

After scoring two touchdowns in the season opener against North Surry, Forbush has struggled offensively, scoring just 16 points in the four games following, including being shutout against Starmount in Week Three.

The Falcons return to action Friday with their best chance to pick up that elusive first win when they welcome 0-5 Alleghany to East Bend.
