This letter is to thank the three good samaritans that helped me to my car last Monday at the Elkin Post Office.
I was at the Elkin post office. I had received three packages in the mail that day and was carrying them and my mail to the car.
I couldn’t really see the steps because of the packages I was carrying, but I thought I was proceeding well down the stairs. I thought I had reached the last step and went to step down, but I had not. I took a really hard fall. As I fell I heard something in my left ankle/leg/knee go “pop.”
I was crying and could not stand. I called for help and three wonderful people came and helped me to my feet and to my car. I went to the hospital and I have at least a severe sprain in my ankle and knee. It is still very swollen, though, so I am going back to my doctor for him to take a better look at it.
I did not get the names of the woman and two men who came to my rescue, and I am not sure if I thanked them properly, so I wanted to write this letter.
Thank you to all three of you. I could not have made it to my car without your help. I really could not stand on that leg.
Thank you, good samaritans
I knew that Elkin/Jonesville people were some of the nicest in the area, that is why my husband and I decided to move here six years ago, but I met three of Elkin and Jonesville’s angels when I was at the post office this past week.
Thank you again for your help and kindness getting me to my car. I really appreciate your help and concern.
