Scott Vincent Sica has been extradited to North Carolina after having been charged with the 1996 murder of Jonesville Police Officer Sgt. Gregory Keith Martin.
According Yadkin County Sheriff Ricky Oliver, Sica was transferred by the Department of Corrections from the Lee County Correctional Facility in Florida Friday at approximately 2 a.m. He was transferred to the custody of the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and arrived at approximately 2:30 p.m.
According to Sheriff Oliver, Sica was arrested and processed by Yadkin County Sheriff’s deputies and received his first appearance hearing at the Yadkin County Jail.
Sheriff Oliver said that the next court date has been tentatively set for Oct. 31.
