Debra Jane Hobson and George Thomas Steelman both of Yadkinville were married at 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at Huntsville Baptist Church in Yadkinvile. The Reverend Dennis Shaw and Nelson Puffenbarger officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Hobson of Yadkinville. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Claude H. Hobson. She graduated from Forbush High School and is a CNA with New Horizons Home Care.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G.L. Steelman Jr. of Yadkinville. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. George Leak Steelman and Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Poindexter. He graduated from Forbush High School and Forsyth Technical College and works for Oracle Packaging Company.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Darlene Caudle of Boonville, the maid of honor was Mrs. Lauren Willard, her niece of Boonville and Victoria Steelman, his niece of Yadkinville.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were the groom’s brother Craig Steelman and his nephew Jacob Steelman. The ushers were Russell J. Caudle, nephew of the bride of Boonville and Wayne Jester, brother-in-law of the groom of Yadkinville. Program attendants and registry were the bride’s sister, Donna Hobson and Lisa Jester, the groom’s sister.
Wedding music was provided by Mr. Freddie Casstevens, pianist, soloists were Russell Caudle, Darlene Caudle and Lauren Willard.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The groom’s parents hosted their rehearsal dinner and that was also held at the church. The couple honeymooned in the Poconos Mountains and will reside in Huntsville.
