Yadkin County has announced that Frances Yokeley has accepted the position of Animal Control Supervisor.

County officials say that Yokeley has an impressive background and education that will bring new dimensions to animal control as well as Yadkin County’s management team.

Yokeley served as a veterinarian technician for two emergency pet clinics, a microbiologist for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and a laboratory manager for Environmental Services prior to advancing to quality control at Dairy Fresh a Deans Food Company in High Point.

Yokeley holds a bachelor of science degree in animal science and a master of science in nutrition with a minor in biochemistry with thesis from North Carolina State University.

Yokeley an animal lover with two quarter horses, a miniature horse, three dogs and a cat who will start on February 4, 2013 stated, “I am very excited about the opportunity to lead Yadkin County’s Animal Control.”

County officials sayd that Yokeley’s diverse background and education brings numerous exciting opportunities to Yadkin County as well as the animal control profession.

“Frances energy and passion for science and animals will positively change the dynamics of Animal Control and we are ecstatic that Frances has accepted the position,” said Aaron Church, Yadkin County Manager.
