The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association (NCCEAPA) is now accepting college scholarship applications.
The North Central District that covers 20 counties in North Carolina including Yadkin will award $250 to the most qualified applicant. That person’s application will then be placed into a small pool of applicants from across the state to be considered for a $750 award. The deadline to apply is March 15.
The scholarship is awarded annually to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, co-leaders in forming the NCCEAPA in 1973.
Applicants must be a North Carolina resident pursuing an associates and/or bachelors degree in a business related field of study and enrolled to attend classes during the 2013-2014 school year.
Qualified applicants may obtain an application packet from the financial aid office at their local community college by contacting an administrative professional the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Yadkin County Center, at 336-679-2061, or by visiting the Center at 209 E. Elm Street, Yadkinville, N.C.
