The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals on Feb. 21 in the Hamptonville community, according to a sheriff’s office release.


The arrests were a result of the sheriff’s office continuing operation known as “Community Impact,” according to the release.


Officers observed what they believed was a narcotics transaction taking place in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Rocky Branch Road in Hamptonville. Once the vehicle was stopped officers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of two suspects.


Kelly Lynn Tilley, 28, of Hamptonville was charged with three counts of conspiracy to sell and deliver a Scheduled VI controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver a Scheduled VI controlled substance and two counts of sell and deliver a Scheduled VI controlled substance. Tilley is being held in the Yadkin County Detention Center under a $15,000 secure bond.


Also arrested was Shawn Michael Dippolito, 22, of East Bend. Dippolito was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver a Scheduled VI controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Scheduled VI controlled substance and sell and deliver a Scheduled VI controlled substance. Dippolito was released on a $7,500 secure bond.


The sheriff’s office seized marijuana, oxycodone and other drug paraphernalia.


Both suspects have a court date on Feb. 27 in the Yadkin County District Court.


Sheriff’s office officials stated that the investigation is continuing and more arrest are expected.
