EAST BEND - Senior leaders Heaven Walters and Savannah Hill headlined Yadkin County players honored by the league on the annual awards released last month.

Walters and Hill earned All-Mountain Valley Conference nods in their final seasons at Starmount and Forbush, respectively, garnering honors for the second-straight season.

Sophomore Brittany Moose joined Hill on the all-conference team after running the point for the Lady Falcons, while Paris Trivette and Maddi Morsch were named honorable mentions.

Whitney Pardue and Miracle Walters earned an honorable mention for a young Starmount squad.

Despite finishing in eighth place in the final standings, Elkin placed three players on the final teams.

Courtney Beals, an honorable mention a year ago, was named on the All-MVAC list as a junior. Makayla Dimmette and Carrie Brown earned an honorable mention for the Lady Elks.
