Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on April 3 arrested Brandon Allen Archer, 29, Cody Mitchell Meyer, 20, and Jesse Lee Meyer, 17, all of Yadkinville, in connection with two separate larcenies.
The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny from a property owner located on Old Hwy 421 West in Hamptonville on March 28, according to a sheriff’s office release. A neighbor of the victim who lives next to the property where the items were taken from witnessed the suspects loading the items in a white Dodge Caravan. The family member also provided detectives with a physical description of the suspects.
During the investigation it was discovered that the suspects sold the stolen items to a local metal scrap yard in Yadkin County, according to the release. On April 2 the sheriff’s office received a report of another larceny from a property owner located on Stinson Road in Boonville.
During the investigation, detectives determined that the same suspects had stolen from this property, according to the release. The suspects then sold the stolen items to a different metal scrap yard located in Yadkin County, the release stated.
All three suspects were charged with two counts of felony larceny and two counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
Both Cody Mitchell Meyer and Jesse Lee Meyer received a $10,000 secured bond, while Brandon Allen Archer received a $15,000 secured bond. All three suspects are currently being held at the Yadkin County Detention Center.
Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office wish to inform the public regarding the increase of metal theft occurring within the county.
