•Upper Yadkin Valley Habitat for Humanity Habitat Hammer 5k run/walk! A fundraising event for Upper Yadkin Valley Habitat for Humanity, the Habitat Hammer is a 3.1 mile loop run/walk for all ages through downtown Elkin. There will be T-shirts, swag bags, food, awards, door prizes, and a great time for a great cause. •3 p.m.-Beach music concert featuring Craig Woolard Band for Yadkin County Relay for Life! This fundraising event for Relay for Life will take place at the Ted Williams Amphitheatre at the Yadkin County Park. Craig Woodlard Band is one of the most popular beach music groups in the Southeast. Admission for the show is free with donations being taken at the show and prior to the show. •6:30 p.m. - The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office will hold a Community Crime Prevention meeting at Yadkinville Volunteer Fire Department. This will be part of a series of crime prevention meetings to be held at each fire department throughout the county. Residents in the Yadkinville community are encouraged to attend this meeting to make them more aware of crime prevention efforts in Yadkin County. Sheriff Ricky Oliver and crime prevention officers will be present to discuss some of the issues in the community and the crime prevention programs available.
