She was born May 14, 1916 in Yadkin County to the late Zet and Pearl Shore Shugart.
Mrs. Taylor loved to cook, sew, play the guitar, sing, put together puzzles, and most importantly, loved her children, grandchildren, and family.
She was also a member of Boonville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Frank “Ted” Taylor; her sister, Epsie Caudle; brother, Guy Shugart; daughter-in-law, Linda Taylor; and grandchildren, Angie Taylor, Kathy Eads, Stoney Eads, and Tony Gray Eads.
Surviving are her devoted children, Charles (Lois) Taylor of Goodletsville, Tenn., Marie Taylor of East Bend, Richard Taylor of East Bend, and David (Vickie) Taylor of Boonville; grandchildren, Robin (Bill) Dudney, Tammy (Tommy) Shore, Amanda (Kim) Greenwood, Michael (Sonja) Eads, Kelli (David) Osborne, Krystal (Shawn) Byrd, Emily Taylor, and Rachel Taylor; great-grandchildren, Travis and Jennifer Shore, Taylor York, Autumn and Austin Dudney, Ryan and Evan Eads, and Gracen and Bailey Osborne; a sister, Iris Prim; a special caregiver, Caressa Perry; and several nieces and nephews. The family received friends Saturday, April 11 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
Her funeral service followed the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Choplin.
Burial followed in the Boonville Cemetery.
