She was born Dec. 20, 1939 in Surry County to the late Lonzie and Sallie Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Max Wesley Sneed.
Surviving are her husband, Junior Wesley Sneed; children, Michael Barry (Mildred) Sneed, Angela Regina (Ricky) Wood, and Earl Lynn (Kendra) Sneed; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven step grandchildren; sister, Linda “Kay” (Raleigh) Burnett; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday, April 18 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church by the Rev. Barlow Stanley and the Rev. Raleigh Burnett.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She lay in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family received friends from 7 - 9 p.m. on Friday, April 17 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Sneed family.
