Claude Everette Salmons

 

Mr. Claude Everette Salmons, 76, of Yadkinville, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009. 

He was born Oct. 10, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late James and Lillie Salmons. 

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Hemrick; brothers, James Albert Salmons, and Glenn Avery Salmons; and best friend, Gilbert Cartner. 

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Shinault Salmons; sons, Ronnie (Judy) Salmons, Avery (Elaine) Salmons, Gary Salmons, and Ricky Salmons; grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Jeremy, Jason, and Miranda; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Mary Eaton, Margaret Cartner, Phyllis Sawyer, Frances (Nelson) Vestal, and Peggy Warden; and canine buddy, Bo.  His memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Dean Chandler. 

Military Rights were performed by Yadkin VFW Post No. 10346. 

The family received friends prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
