He was born Nov. 19, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Paul Styers Sr., and Omie Shore Styers.
Mr. Styers was retired from Sara Lee Corporation with over 30 years of service.
He was of the Baptist faith, an avid golfer, and enjoyed working or playing on a golf course throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Styers.
Surviving are his daughter, Robin S. Johnson; and grandson, Dayton Johnson, both of East Bend; his son, Mike (Tina) Styers; granddaughter, Casey Styers; and grandson, Zak Styers, all of Boonville; sisters, Brenda (Ed) Davis, and Wanda (Bobby) Brown; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the family.
