YADKINVILLE- Mrs. Roselyn Sizemore Hollar, 82, of Wason Rose Lane in Yadkinville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009 at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital at Chapel Hill.
She was born May 22, 1927 in Yadkin County to the late Denson and Gertha Holcomb Sizemore.
Mrs. Hollar worked for several years with Western Electric Telephone in Winston-Salem.
She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family, and enjoyed cooking, canning and gardening for them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Wason Hollar, on April 19, 2002.
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Hollar Merritt and husband, Ed, of Yadkinville; a son, David Wason Hollar Jr. and wife, Paige, of Chapel Hill; and grandchildren, John Merritt, Brice Merritt, and Brooke Hollar.
The family received friends Sunday, Aug. 9, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
Funeral services were held following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Stewart Zimmerman.
Burial followed in the Huntsville Baptist Church Cemetery.
