More arrests made in sexual assault on minors case

The Yadkinville Police Department made three additional arrests in an ongoing investigation of a party that “got out of hand,” according to Yadkinville Police Chief, Tim Parks.

The arrests are part of an investigation into a report of a kidnapping and sexual assault of two female minors, which occurred on Sept.4. The arrests on Friday resulted from an extensive investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies that assisted in the identification and apprehension of the three additional suspects, according to Captain Patrick Long of the Yadkinville Police Department.

Edgar Armando Nunez, 17 of Spalding Lane, Elkin was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree kidnapping, two counts of crimes against nature and two counts of first degree sex offense. He is incarcerated under a $500,000 secured bond.

Federico Meza Gonzalez, 21 of Union Cross Church Rd., Yadkinville, was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree kidnapping, two counts of crimes against nature and two counts of first degree sex offense. He is incarcerated under a $500,000 secured bond.

Jose Meza Gonzalez, 26 of Union Cross Church Rd., Yadkinville was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree kidnapping, two counts of crimes against nature and two counts of first degree sex offense. He is incarcerated under a $500,000 secured bond.

Investigators say the search is continuing and further arrests are expected.
