He was born Oct. 26, 1925 in Davie County to the late Jacob and Mary Tutterow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, William Luther Smith; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Ella Shore Tutterow; children, Grady L. (Linda Bryant) Tutterow, and Annette Tutterow Drumm; grandson, Ian Blane Leonard; sister, Mary Catherine Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Charles Butner and the Rev. Lee Cook.
Burial will follow at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with military rights by Yadkin VFW Post No. 10346.
The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
