She was born March 20, 1935, in Forsyth County to the late Robah and Polly Brown Temples. Mrs. Dixon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker to her family. She loved working with her flowers, especially her favorite flower which was the Iris.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John “Chick” Dixon.
She is survived by her four children, John Samuel Dixon, Terry and wife Becky Dixon, Debra and husband Tony Goin, Cheryl and husband Randy Sizemore; five grandchildren, Tonta Hawkins, Jacob Goin, Layla Goin Payne, Rachel Goin Cave, Dalton Sizemore; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Tyler, Michael, Olivia; sister, Betty Cromer; and a brother, Doug Temples.
The family will received friends Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville. Her graveside service was held Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, in the Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Hal Finney.
