Brent was born on July 24, 1940, to the late Beecher and Betty Wall Poindexter.
He was retired from Stroh’s Brewery and employed by the Yadkin County Recycling Center. He was a dedicated member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Mildred Poindexter and sons, Shannon Poindexter (Alice Carter) and Chad Poindexter; and his little buddy, Snoopy.
Visitation was held at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010. A service celebrating Brent’s life will be held at Shady Grove United Methodist Church on at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010.
