O-Henry’s celebrates 40 years

EAST BEND — This week take a step back in time to 1978 at O-Henry’s Restaurant. In celebration of the restaurant’s 40th anniversary, owners Henry and Judy Bowman are rolling back their menu prices with specials offered at the same price as the year the diner first opened its doors.

From July 23-26, the restaurant will feature its rollback 1978 menu specials. On July 27, there will be supper specials and live music from Woody Powers and Midnight Express. July 28 will feature $5 barbecue plates from 4 to 8 p.m. and live music by The Silver Eagles from 7 to 10 p.m., donations asked $6.

O-Henry’s is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. Gospel, bluegrass and country music performed each Friday and Saturday night.
