East Bend man arrested for alleged motorcycle theft

EAST BEND — An East Bend man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing a motorcycle. On Aug. 16, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen motorcycle from a resident on N.C. 67 in East Bend.

A tip from a concerned citizen on Sept. 13 lead officers to an area of Tammy Drive in East Bend where the stolen motorcycle was located.

The suspect, Sean Herbert Bernard, 40, was subsequently arrested and charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony possession of a motor vehicle. He was given a secured $15,000 bond.

Bernard also was served with an Order for Arrest from Forsyth County regarding failing to appear in court for a previous citation charge with a $2,000 preset secure bond from Forsyth.
