A Boonville man has been charged with arson after allegedly setting a barn on fire. On Sept. 12, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on Union Hill Rd. in East Bend to assist with an arson investigation of a barn. The Yadkin County Fire Marshall determined the fire was incendiary.

The investigation led to the arrest of Nathaniel Alexander Kennedy, age 32. He was arrested the same day and faces one count of felony second degree arson. Kennedy was given a $10,000 secured bond and a court date set for Oct. 9.
