Yadkinville will ring in the fall season this weekend with its annual Yadkin Valley Harvest Festival. The event was postponed due to the threat of inclement weather from Hurricane Florence a few weeks ago, but organizers said they hope this won’t affect the turnout.

The festival will include a variety of food and craft vendors, live music and a special sneak peek performance of the Yadkin Arts Council’s upcoming production.

“The festival is a celebration of all things good in Yadkin County,” said Yadkin Arts Council President John Willingham.

Several musicians will perform from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the plaza at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center, including Jill Goodson Band, Elvis impersonator Rick Brooks and Crossing Avery. At 1 p.m., performers from the arts council will give a preview of “Little Shop of Horrors” near the food area.

The annual Racemore for Macemore honoring the life of Austin Macemore has been rescheduled for Oct. 20 to coincide with the Yadkin Valley Grape Festival.
