Lowes Food launches new concepts

Lowes Foods in Yadkinville will celebrate some new store concepts with a launch party beginning with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Following the ribbon cutting, there will be live music and local vendors on site including some area wineries. Customers will then get a chance to experience some of the changes at the store.

The store has recently undergone several updates and will feature new sections including a pizza and panini station where customers can pick ingredients to make their own custom pizzas. Another new section called pick and prep will feature more than 60 fruits and vegetables pre-cut for customer convenience as well as fresh-made items like guacamole, pico de gallo, peach salsa and more. For an additional charge, customers also may choose additional items to have pre-cut by staff at Lowes.

A new beer section called the Beer Den has been added. The Beer Den will feature craft beers and local brews as well. Customers also may purchase a 64-oz. glass growler to be filled from one of six beers on tap. There is a one-time charge for the growler and then customers may return to have it refilled with a new beer of their choice. Local breweries such as Foothills will be featured on tap as well as other specialty beers.

Store Manager Bryan Saulpaugh said it will be a fun day for the community to come out and learn about the new concepts at Lowes Foods.
