Moxley to serve as voting delegate for NCACC

Several contracts were approved at the Monday meeting of the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners. Among the approved items on the board’s action agenda was a contract for Complete Cisco Phone System. Amendments to the Professional Assessment & Counseling Centers contract and Ronald J. Davis contract also were approved.

Commissioner David Moxley was designated to serve as the voting delegate for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners annual conference, which is scheduled for Aug. 10-12 in Durham.

Several of the commissioners also will be attending the National Association of County Officials conference in Columbus, Ohio, July 21 -24.

A public hearing took place at the start of Monday’s meeting regarding the economic development funds appropriation in the 2017-18 fiscal year budget. Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Director Bobby Todd addressed the board briefly on the topic, but no other speakers came forward.

The next meeting of the board will be July 17 at 7 p.m.
