Yadkin County Jail still housing Royal and Speaks on separate incidents

YADKINVILLE — Serious charges have led to Yadkin County continuing to hold two individuals in separate incidents.

Early Aug. 20, Bobby Justin Royal of Mable Trail in Boonville was arrested by Yadkinville Police after allegedly stabbing his estranged wife while she lay in bed with their 1-year-old son.

The incident happened in Yadkinville where the victims are recovering.

Royal was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon in the presence of a minor, first-degree burglary, and child abuse. He remains in custody until his new court date of Oct. 11.

Results of the Aug. 30 court date for Bren Dobson Speaks was not available at press time.

Speaks is being held without bond for probable cause after reporting to the police she accidentally shot her husband a month prior to her report.
