A Dobson man faces multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in Yadkin County. On Sept. 23, NC Highway Patrol requested assistance from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s office with a vehicle search at U.S. 421, north of Speer Bridge Road.
After being questioned by officers, the suspect indicated he had illegal drugs in the vehicle, according to a report from the sheriff’s office. Drugs, drug paraphernalia and cash were found in the vehicle, authorities said.
Jaime Yadiel Zamot-Velez, 21, was arrested and charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $10,000 secured bond with a court date of Sept. 26.
