Three area teens were arrested and charged over the weekend following an investigation by the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office into an alleged breaking and entering.
Deputies responded to a call on Sunday at a home on Union Grove Church Road in Yadkinville. The victim reported the breaking and entering and was able to give officers a description of the vehicle being driven by the suspects.
Deputies said the vehicle and its occupants were discovered at the nearby Dollar General store. Courtney Alexis Draughn, 19, of Mocksville, and Brian Michael Mayes, 16, and Tyler Andrew Saner, 18, both of Hamptonville, were each charged with one county of felony breaking and entering and misdemeanor larceny.
Draughn also was served with two warrants from Alamance County and given a secured $15,000 bond. Mayes also was charged with misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia which was discovered in the vehicle by NC Highway Patrol troopers who assisted on the vehicle stop.
Mayes and Saner were each given a $5,000 bond. All three had a first court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.
