Steelman Scholarship awarded

The H. Frank Steelman Scholarship is awarded annually by A.T. Williams Oil Company in memory of Steelman, a Yadkin County native. The scholarships are given to a graduating senior, from each of Yadkin County’s two high schools, who plan to pursue a business career.

The recognized Forbush graduate is Coleman Clay Dalton. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russ Dalton of Yadkinville. He plans to attend East Carolina University and major in business.

The recognized Starmount graduate is Robert Carson Hemric. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cody Hemric of Boonville. He plans to attend Appalachian State University and major in marketing.
