CLEMMONS — The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT) announced that the prestigious PKBGT Invitational, one of the top-50 junior girls events in the country, will be played at Bermuda Run Country Club in Clemmons on Nov. 10-12.
The invitational, a 54-hole tournament played Veterans Day weekend each year, brings together 66 of the nation’s top junior girl golfers and represents one of the most prestigious, girls-only events on the east coast. The 2018 Invitational marks the 10th anniversary of the pinnacle event of the PKBGT schedule.
Round one of the invitational will be played on Bermuda Run’s West Course, a host of the 2018 PKBGT One-Day Series. Rounds two and three will be played on the prestigious East Course, which has been ranked one of the top courses in the greater Piedmont Triad area. The ClubCorp owned Country Club has hosted numerous competitive events, including the 2018 USGA Women’s Open Sectional Qualifier and the Monday Qualifier for the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship.
“We are excited to host the 10th annual PKBGT Invitational at Bermuda Run Country Club,” said PKBGT Tour Director Mike Parker. “The club’s engaged membership and pristine course conditions will continue to make this event a must on the junior girl’s golf circuit.”
Past champions of the PKBGT Invitational include LPGA Tour Professional Katherine Perry and NCAA All-American Emilia Migliaccio, who plays collegiately for Wake Forest University just down the road.
