Pearson signs with Cottey College


Hannah Pearson signs her letter of intent to be a cross-country and track athlete at Cottey College starting the fall. Pearson was a standout athlete at Forbush, where she was named All Conference. Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) awarded Pearson with a scholarship to Cottey College. Cottey College is an independent, liberal arts and sciences college for women in Nevada, Missouri. The college is owned and operated by the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Pearson is joined at the signing by Charlotte Craig (Central Region of PEO), Catherine Beddard (aunt), D.J. Pearson (brother), Carolyn Pearson (mother), David Pearson (father, who called from Afghanistan), Hannah Pearson, Kathy Boyer (president of NC PEO), Becky Lindsay (Cottey College Committee chair) and Tanya Trivette (local PEO chapter representative).
