GREENSBORO — Forbush alumnas, Savannah Yale, recently completed her third season with Guilford College’s softball team. A 5-9 junior, Yale was named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference third team.
She recorded a .316 overall batting average and in conference games hit .324 with 11 hits, one home run, three doubles, and four RBIs.
On the season, she tallied 25 hits, three home runs, five doubles, and 11 RBIs compiled a .365 on-base percentage and .494 slugging percentage. Yale had only four errors in 31 games for a .959 fielding percentage. She collected three hits and a home run versus both Pfeiffer and Randolph-Macon.
She helped head coach Dennis Shores’ Quakers to an 18-24 mark and a 5-13 record in league games. The Quakers could return as many as 24 letter-winners for the 2019 campaign.
